Associate of Arts in Accounting
Employment of accountants and auditors is expected to grow over 18% for all occupations through the year 2014. An increase in the number of businesses, and changing financial laws and regulations will drive growth.
An increased need for accountants and auditors will arise from changes in legislation related to taxes, financial reporting standards, business investments, mergers, and other financial events. The growth of international business also has led to more demand for accounting expertise and services related to international trade and accounting rules. Also, the development of electronic surveillance technology has increased the investigation success rates and demand for forensic accountants.*

Associate of Arts in Criminal Justice
If you are interested in a career in law enforcement, Homeland Security, forensic science or related fields that help your community and nation, this degree program provides instruction in current criminal justice issues such as law enforcement operations, the courts and correctional institutions.
In addition to learning about theory and practice, students will gain exposure to the latest applied technology and interact with practitioners in criminal justice. This program will also prepare graduates for transfer to four-year degree programs, the foundation to enter the field of criminal justice, and opportunities for advancement for those currently in the field.
Associate of Arts in Health Services Administration
Keiser University's online Associate of Arts in Health Services Administration program provides the foundation for a career in this fast-growing field, with 3.5 million new jobs are projected by 2012.
Students will be prepared for positions such as physicians' office managers, assistant managers of physicians' offices, supervisors in health care organizations and other administrative assignments in hospitals, outpatient care centers, diagnostic laboratories and other medical services environments.
Coursework provides an understanding of business administration, management skills and health services knowledge, and also prepares students for transfer to four-year degree programs.
Associate of Arts in Paralegal
Train to become an essential and vital part of any legal team. A paralegal or legal, or law assistant is supervised by an attorney and drafts documents and motions which are filed in court, interviews clients and witnesses, manages cases and gathers evidence and legal research.
Students will study and become adept in legal research, writing analysis, the interviewing of clients and witnesses, fact gathering, summarizing trial evidence, estate administration, and property transfer. Students will also learn to form corporations and partnerships, conduct and participate in real estate closings, draft leases, examine mortgages, handle landlord/tenant relations, draft contracts, partake of product liability and personal injury cases, as well as participate in other civil and criminal cases.
Paralegals usually work with private law firms, corporate law departments, banks, government agencies (local, state, and federal), title companies, law enforcement agencies, and prosecutors.
Associate of Science in Medical Assisting
Expansion in the health services industry and technological advances in medicine have increased the demand for multi-skilled medical assistants that handle both administrative and clinical duties. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, medical assisting is projected to be the fastest growing occupation through 2012.
Students enrolled in Keiser University's Associate of Science in Medical Assisting program are trained for patient care duties such as preparation of examination rooms, taking vital signs, minor surgical procedure assistance, injections, venipuncture, lab operations, X-Rays and electrocardiograms. Administrative training includes patient records, billing, appointments, ordering supplies and handling insurance claims.
Students receive clinical practice at a healthcare facility in their community. The Keiser University program is also accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).
Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice
If you are interested in a career in law enforcement, Homeland Security, forensic science or related fields that help your community and nation, this degree program provides instruction in current criminal justice issues such as law enforcement operations, the courts and correctional institutions, private investigations and victim and juvenile counseling.
In addition to learning about theory and practice, students will gain exposure to the latest applied technology and interact with practitioners in criminal justice. Career opportunities include work in police agencies, private investigation agencies, state, federal and county corrections and probations offices and corporate loss prevention departments. This program also provides a strong foundation for students who are interested in continuing to law school.
Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies
Become an essential and vital part of a legal team with a BA degree in Legal Studies from Keiser University. Interested in pursuing a law degree? Our bachelor's program prepares students with major courses such as legal research, criminal law, contracts, wills and trusts, torts, and family law. Legal Studies graduates may work with private or corporate law firms, banks, government agencies, title companies or law enforcement.
Students will develop skills in legal research and writing; understanding substantive law, civil and criminal procedures, litigation case files, and methods of dispute resolution. Bachelor of Science in Information Technology Management
Keiser University's Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology Management is a degree completion program for those who have already earned an Associate Degree in a computer-related field.
The curriculum is designed to prepare computer technicians with a minimum of 6 months full time experience for a role as an I.T. professional, supervisor, or manager. Graduates will be prepared to assume these roles immediately upon graduation or continue on to a Master's degree program in either business or technology field of study.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN to BSN)
This program emphasizes critical thinking, leadership, management, research, advanced assessment, and health promotion across a variety of community-based health care settings. Designed for graduates of associate degree and diploma nursing programs, who are currently licensed as an RN in the U.S., the RN will be prepared for a broader scope of practice and for entry into master's or doctoral nursing programs.
The curriculum provides the RN with a better understanding of the cultural, political, economic, and social issues that affect patients and influence health care delivery. Special emphasis will be given to the allocation and management of physical, fiscal, and human resources. Opportunities for the RN to specialize will be provided in the form of various nursing, business, and criminal justice electives.
All coursework is offered online, one course per month. Clinical practicums will be performed in community settings where students will be paired with an approved professional nursing preceptor.
